Ready to Take Your UTI Test?
Take a deep breath, wash your hands, and read all the steps before you start. You've got this.
- Open the foil pouch and hold the test strip by the plastic handle—don't touch the test pads.
- Sit on the toilet and start peeing. After a few seconds, place the tip of the strip into your urine stream for 1-2 seconds.
- Both little test squares should get wet. Gently dab the strip on a paper towel to remove extra urine, then lay it flat with the test pads facing up.
What is the Leukocyte reading?
Now, compare the top pad of your test to the Color Chart to find your Leukocyte reading, then record your result below.
What is the Nitrite reading?
Now, compare the bottom pad of your test to the Color Chart to find your Nitrite reading, then record your result below.

Ready to Take Your UTI Test?
Read all of the instructions before getting started! Remember to take your time and wash your hands before.
- Open the package, remove a test and open the foil. Only touch the test using the round handle area.
- Hold the test's round handle between your thumb and index finger - make sure the test area does not come into contact with other liquids.
- Sit with your knees spread or with one foot on the toilet seat or a firm surface.
- Now, use your free hand to gently spread the vaginal opening, carefully separating the outer labia.
- Holding the round handle, insert the test area gently into the vagina, the same way that you would use a tampon, about an inch into the vagina and not further than the round handle area. This should be completely pain free!
- Press the inserted part against the back wall of the vagina with light pressure for 10 seconds (pushing back towards the rectum), so that the test measurement area becomes well moistened.
- Carefully remove the test from your vagina.

Now, use the color chart to find your vaginal pH level. Note: Immediately after removing the test, while it’s damp, match the color on the test area to the closest color block on the Color Chart.
